Alec is an AHPRA-registered physiotherapist with a strong interest in helping people stay active, independent and confident in the activities that matter to them. His experience spans musculoskeletal rehabilitation, healthy ageing, DVA, NDIS, aged care and community physiotherapy, working with clients across a broad range of ages, abilities and health conditions.
Alec takes a practical, evidence-based and individualised approach to physiotherapy. He places a strong emphasis on understanding each person’s goals and building a treatment plan around what they want to achieve. Exercise rehabilitation is a major focus of his practice, complemented by manual therapy, education and self-management strategies where appropriate.
Having worked extensively with older adults, Alec has particular experience in strength and mobility rehabilitation, balance and falls prevention, maintaining independence, chronic musculoskeletal conditions and helping people return to meaningful activity following injury, surgery or periods of reduced mobility. He also has experience supporting people living with neurological and complex conditions through NDIS and community-based care.
Alec enjoys building genuine relationships with his clients and believes that physiotherapy works best when people understand their condition and feel actively involved in their rehabilitation. Whether the goal is reducing pain, getting stronger, improving mobility or simply feeling more confident moving again, he aims to make rehabilitation achievable, progressive and relevant to everyday life.
Outside of physiotherapy, Alec enjoys strength training and keeping active, following the AFL, travelling and spending time in the ocean.
